We already know the composition of the 39. Gdynia Film Festival Selection Team
On 12 June 2014, the GFF Organizing Committee approved the composition of the 39. Gdynia Film Festival Selection Team, which was appointed by way of a vote conducted among the members of the Programme Council.
The composition of the Selection Team:
- Andrzej Jakimowski
- Katarzyna Klimkiewicz
- Ryszard Lenczewski
- Juliusz Machulski
- Janusz Zaorski
The tasks of the Team have been presented in Article 6. of the Festival’s Rules and Regulations: the Artistic Director, with the approval of the Selection Team, shall propose a list of films for the Main Competition and for the Young Cinema Competition, as well as the composition of both Juries: regarding the Main Competition and the Young Cinema Competition. All the decisions of the Artistic Director and the Selection Team shall be approved by the Organizing Committee.
“I received the news concerning the composition of the Selection Team with real joy,” says Michał Oleszczyk, the GFF Artistic Director. “It would be difficult for me, as the Artistic Director, to dream of a circle of more diversified people regarding their preferences, tastes, and even generation status. I think that conversations in this circle will be a pleasure, and that any differences in opinions which may arise between us will translate into the assets of the Gdynia Film Festival competition offer”.
