Henryk Romanowski

Born in 1951 in Warsaw. Graduate from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (1974) and from Film Art Organization Production Department of the Lodz Film School (1979). Production manager on the set of Stanisław Różewicz, Andrzej Krauze, Andrzej Domalik, Robert Gliński, Magdalena and Piotr Łazarkiewicz and Krzysztof Lang. Since 1989, the owner and the CEO of Filmcontract Ltd. Producer of feature films, documentaries, TV series and stagings for the Polish TV Theatre. Since 2000, a member of the European Film Academy.

(awarded at numerous children festivals), Bara, bara (documentary); 1997: Love and Do Want You Want, The Parade Step, Wierszynin’s Bed; 1998: Kinema (documentary); 1999: Policjanci (TV series), Wojaczek (Life Hurts) (nomination for the Polish Film Award Eagle for the best producer of 1999; presented on 35 international festivals, winner of over 20 awards), The Gates of Europe (the awards for the cinematography and costume design at the 24th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia), Abschied (co-produced by a German company Novoskop, Special Mention among 15 filmmakers at the 53rd Festival de Cannes); 2001: Angelus (the Silver Grape Award at the Lubuskie Film Summer in Lagow), Zostać miss (TV series); 2001: Der Brief des Kosmonauten (co-produced with a German company Claser Film Monachium), Die Reise (co-produced with a German company Tag Traum from Cologne); 2002: E=mc2; 2003: Zostać miss 2 (TV series), Milchwald (co-produced with a German company Fieber Film Monachium)
