Eroica
The film is a combination of two short stories. Part one features a Warsaw slyboots Dzidziuś. Dragged against his will into the War- saw Uprising, he brings himself to make a heroic deed, however entirely pointless. Part two takes place at a German Oflag. There circulates a legend about an alleged prison break of Lieutenant Zawistowski. Few know the truth but won’t say a word not to rob their fellow inmates of hope.

Escape
Charles, a man of mixed race in his twenties, discovers that his mother has been lying about the true identity of his father. On her deathbed, she convinces Charles to go to Zimbabwe and find the missing parent. What awaits is much different from what the son expects.

Ether
The beginning of the 20th century, borders of the Russian Tsar Imperium. A doctor gives a mortal amount of ether to a young woman whom he wants to seduce. He gets employed in an Austrian-Hungarian fortress where he continues his experiments with ether. Their aim is to lower pain but also to manipulate human behaviour. The price of success is the loss of the soul but love can save the Doctor from eternal condemnation.

Farewell To My Country

A documentary about the silent elimination of the Jewish community by the ruthless Communist regime. Using some extraordinary, never-seen-before footage, Krakowski reveals the trauma of emigrants harassed by the state.

Frost
