Zuza Banasińska is an artist and director from Warsaw, currently living in Amsterdam. In their films and installations, they use archives to investigate how the reproduction of images enables the reproduction of systems, subjects, and bodies. Their previous film, Grandmamauntsistercat, premiered at the 2024 Rotterdam IFF and was shown at the 2024 Berlin IFF, where it won the Teddy Award for Best Short Film. It was screened at over a hundred film festivals, including the New York Film Festival, Visions du Réel, and IndieLisboa, winning fourteen awards and securing nominations for the European Film Award and the Doc Alliance Award.
