We strive to ensure that the Polish Film Festival is an event open and accessible to everyone.
We have trained our team, volunteers and staff to provide support to people with different abilities.
We are introducing solutions to facilitate participation in the festival for people with disabilities, on the autism spectrum, highly sensitive people, and anyone who may need additional assistance.

TICKETS
People over 60 years of age, people with disabilities and assistants can use discounted tickets.
You can only buy discount tickets at the cinema box office after presenting a document entitling you to the discount.
People with disabilities can order tickets for screenings by contacting us by phone or email:

People with significant disabilities can receive a free ticket for their assistant – once the caregiver’s quota is exhausted, a reduced ticket applies
Ticket prices:
- regular ticket – PLN 29
- regular ticket for a screening in the Dream auditorium at the Helios cinema* – PLN 32
- reduced ticket** – PLN 25
- ticket for short film screenings – PLN 20
- group ticket – PLN 18
* We do not sell discount tickets for screenings in the Dream auditoriums at the Helios cinema.
** Reduced tickets apply to children under the age of 12, teenagers over the age of 12 after presenting a valid school ID, students up to the age of 26 after presenting a valid student ID, people over the age of 60 after presenting an ID, people with disabilities and their assistants -
ENTRY WITH A GUIDE DOG OR ASSISTANT
You can bring your assistance or guide dog to the festival. Please bring your assistance dog's certificate and any required veterinary vaccinations.

Screenings with audio description
The official partner of the Festival is the Kino Dostępne Foundation, which provides audio descriptions for films via its free Kino Dostępne app.
Audio description consists of additional verbal commentary that enables the appreciation of visual art and allows blind people to engage with cultural works in the fields of visual arts, theatre and film.
How to use the Kino Dostępne app
You can download the app onto your Android or iOS phone. Click to download the Kino Dostępne app or scan the QR code:
To view the list of festival films with audio description, go to the ‘Festivals’ tab in the app, then select ‘50th Polish Film Festival’.
You may experience poor mobile reception in some of the auditoriums. These are:
- Morskie Oko at the Gdynia Film Centre,
- Screening Room 3 at the Helios cinema,
- the Large Stage at the Musical Theatre.
To use the audio description service in these auditoriums, you can connect to the festival’s Wi-Fi. You’ll find a QR code with the network name outside the auditoriums. To connect to the Wi-Fi network, scan the code with your phone’s camera and confirm that you wish to connect.Getting around the festival site

There are no tactile guide paths or audio descriptions of the spaces at the festival venues.If you have a severe visual impairment and need to be seated in a specific row in the cinema auditorium, please let the cinema staff or volunteers know.

DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING PEOPLE
Induction loops
Induction loops will be installed at the following ticket offices::
- at the Gdynia Film Centre – at the ticket office and information desk,
- at the front desk at the Musical Theatre,
- at the ticket office at the Helios cinema.
Ticket counters within the induction loop’s range will be marked with a pictogram.
Part of the audience area in the Large Stage of the Danuta Baduszkowa Musical Theatre will be within the induction loop’s range. Seats within the loop’s range will be marked with a pictogram.

Equipment hire
At the Riviera Shopping Centre, you can hire noise-cancelling headphones for yourself or your child. You’ll find the headphones at the InfoPoint – on Level O, by the exit from the green car park via the escalator.
Please note! This equipment is for use within the Riviera Shopping Centre only, and not throughout the festival.
Quiet hours
he Riviera Shopping Centre has designated quiet hours:
- on Wednesdays from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm,
- on Saturdays from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.
This means that visiting the Centre and the Festival at these times may be a more relaxed experience.

PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES
- The films screened at the festival may be difficult to follow.
- All films feature dialogue in Polish.
- You can find full descriptions of the films on the festival website. The descriptions are not available in easy-to-read and easy-to-understand text.
- Information about films containing difficult or disturbing content can be found in a separate section labelled ‘trigger warnings’.
