At the Polish Film Festival, accredited journalists present their award to a film from the Main Competition at the Young Gala. It is one of the festival’s oldest awards 51st PFF
MEDIA accreditation entitles journalists to attend the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, allowing them to attend screenings taking place at all festival venues, including press screenings, and also grants them priority access to press conferences.
Press screenings of films from the Main Competition take place in the ‘Warszawa’ screening room at the Leszek Kopeć Gdynia Film Centre, on the first floor. Press conferences featuring the filmmakers, held in the Finn Room at the Mercure Gdynia Centre Hotel, are broadcast live. The broadcasts can be viewed at the Press Office at the GFC and at the Mercure Hotel, as well as on the PFF’s YouTube channel (for later viewing: link to the broadcast).
The Mercure Gdynia Centre Hotel also has the Opal Room, which is set aside for one-to-one interviews with artists following press conferences.

To cater for the needs of accredited journalists at the 51st PFF, we have provided a workspace. The following facilities are available:
- the main Press Office and information point at the Leszek Kopeć Gdynia Film Centre,
- the Europa Room at the Mercure Gdynia Centre Hotel, which houses the second Press Office and information point,
- the Finn Room at the Mercure Gdynia Centre Hotel, where press conferences are held,
- the Opal Room at the Mercure Gdynia Centre Hotel, dedicated to individual interviews following press conferences,
- the Quiet Zone – a room designed for quiet work – at the Leszek Kopeć Gdynia Film Centre,
- the video studio at the Leszek Kopeć Gdynia Film Centre, intended primarily for journalists recording interviews on camera. The video studio must be booked for exclusive use by notifying the Press Office of this requirement.

Journalists accredited to the Festival present an award to a film from the Main Competition. This is one of the oldest awards in the event’s history. The winner is chosen by an open vote held after the festival’s final press conference. The award is presented during the Young Gala.
