Piotr Domalewski is a director and screenwriter. He graduated from the Faculty of Acting of the Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Cracow and in Directing from the Radio and Television Faculty of the University of Silesia. His feature-length film Silent Night won the Golden Lions at the 2017 PFF in Gdynia and the 2018 Eagles, including for Best Film, Best Directing and Best Screenplay. His second film, I Never Cry, had its premiere at the 2020 San Sebastian IFF and received multiple awards at festivals abroad. At the 2025 PFF in Gdynia his film The Altar Boys won awards such as the Golden Lions, Audience Award, Best Screenplay and Best Editing. Domalewski’s works are distinguished by his insightful look into family relationships, adolescence and social issues along with his skill to guide actors and build realistic and emotional dramas.
