Tomasz Fryzeł is a theatre director and scholar. He graduated from the Department of Directing and Dramaturgy at the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków and completed the Interfaculty Individual Studies in the Humanities at the Jagiellonian University. He also studied French literature at Sorbonne University. Among the plays he directed are Ingmar Bergman’s Winter Light (Nowy Theatre in Warsaw), Jerzy Andrzejewski’s Ciemności kryją ziemię (Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk), Annie Ernaux’s The Years (Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn), and Herman Melville’s Bartleby, the Scrivener (Łaźnia Nowa Theatre in Kraków).
