Marta Giec is a director and screenwriter of features, experimental films, and music videos. Between 2022 and 2024, she developed her documentary Mała Piętnastka, with financial support from the Polish Film Institute’s Film Production Operational Programme. She wrote, directed, animated, and edited her short film Places That Have Left Us, which was screened at the Media Art Biennale WRO 2021. In 2020, she directed the music video for Poppy by Andras (released by Beats in Space). Her film Varia Memorex was shown at international festivals in Bogota and Lidzbark Warmiński. Between 2017 and 2018, her experimental film Varia was streamed on Indieflix. Winning the Young Poland Scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage allowed her to write a screenplay for a full-length feature film. Before that, she made short videos and experimental films (Deluzja, Invitation to Varia), which were screened and awarded at festivals in Poland and abroad. Between 2008 and 2013, she was the leader of sVHS, an independent film group.
