Damian Kocur is a director, screenwriter and cinematographer. His debut film, Bread and Salt, had its world premiere as part of the Orizzonti section at the 2022 Venice IFF and won the Special Jury Prize. He graduated from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Faculty of the University of Silesia in Katowice. Currently, he is a PhD student at the Łódź Film School. He completed the Nipkow Programm Film Residency, Works in Progress in Cannes and New Horizons Studio in Wrocław. As a director he aims at transferring real and credible emotions onto the screen and at conveying the characters’ authenticity and their stories.
