Leszek Kopeć was producer, entrepreneur and publisher. Graduate of Polish philology at the University of Gdańsk. Between the years 1973-1979, the co-founder and editor of a student literary magazine Litteraria. Author of a novel Kredowe koło published in 1989 and stories and reviews published in Polish periodicals. Between the years 1995-2002, worked with Megaron – a magazine on book publications. Since 1999, the Director of Neptune Film and then the Director of the Polish Film Festival. Between the years 2005-2025 he was President of the Board of the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia. Director of the Gdynia Film School since 2010 and Gdynia Film Centre between 2015-2022. He died in 2025.
