Damian Kosowski graduated in visual arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and in directing from the Łódź Film School. To date, he has directed thirteen short films. His third-year film, By the Time I Fall Asleep, has been screened at over thirty festivals worldwide and received awards at The Young and the Film Festival in Koszalin in 2020 and the Lucca Film Festival. His graduation film,The Creature, won the Silver Tadpole at the 2022 Camerimage in Toruń and the Zuzanna Jagoda Kolska Award at the 2023 New Horizons International Film Festival in Wrocław.
