Jakub Krofta is a director, playwright, and pedagogue. He graduated from DAMU in Prague. Between 1995 and 2012, he was the artistic director of the Drak Theatre in Hradec Králové, and since 2012, he has been the artistic director of the Wrocław Puppet Theatre. He has directed plays at the Dramatyczny Theatre and the National Theatre in Warsaw, the Polski Theatre in Bydgoszcz, the J. Słowacki Theatre in Kraków, and the C. K. Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra. Since 2021, he has been in an artistic partnership with Maria Wojtyszko. Together, they created several plays, including Królewna Logorea i Niedźwiedź, Sprzedawcy bajek, and Kwiat paproci.
