Mikołaj Trzaska is a film music composer, saxophonist and bass clarinettist. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He grew up in the Yass artistic and social movement. He co-founded the legendary Miłość band and he was the frontman of the Łoskot band. His presence on the international improvised music scene began in the early 2000s. He studied music alongside such outstanding artists like: Lester Bowie, Peter Brötzmann, Joe McPhee and Ken Vandermark. He has played concerts in Scandinavia, Russia, Eastern, Central and Western Europe, Israel and the United States. His collaborations and his own achievements were registered on numerous albums. He creates literature-related projects. His main inspiration comes from the reconstruction and development of the Jewish identity. He composed music for films such as: The Dark House, Rose, Hatred, Good Home, Scarborn and Pity.
