Maria Wojtyszko is a screenwriter and playwright. She graduated in culture studies from the University of Warsaw, in screenwriting from the Łódź Film School, and in feature film directing from the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing. She also finished the Drama School at the Laboratorium Theatre in Warsaw, where she was a member of the comedy group Kabaret Na Koniec Świata. Her portfolio includes screenplays for television series (Przystań, Doręczyciel, In Treatment) and short films. She has written much-awarded plays for adults and children, staged in Poland, Germany, Czechia, Austria, and Finland. Since 2012, she has been the literary director of the Wrocław Puppet Theatre.
