Anja Zalewska is a directing student at the Łódź Film School and a graduate of The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. She is currently working on a documentary about Janusz the Sturgeon — a fish who supports people with disabilities and was the first in Poland to undergo surgery. Her other film is a body horror featuring a washing machine in the leading role. In addition to her school projects, she is developing the screenplay for Rotund, which won an award at the Torino Film Lab in 2021. She is a member of the International Documentary Association.
