Scaffolding

A compelling story about coming of age and intense father-son relationship. His father perceives him mostly as the heir of a family scaffolding company, but when Asher befriends Rami, a Literature teacher, the boy discovers that there is a world beyond his father’s business.

Shivers

It’s 1955. The Office of Security arrests the father of a 13-year old Tomek. Still, the boy is among the few selected by school authorities to go on a special scouting camp led by fanatic Communists, where the children are brutally indoctrinated. Enchanted by a girl scout leader, Tomek falls under her influence.

Silence

Spring of 1978. Having fun with his friends, Szymon causes a car accident and kills the parents of little Magda. Summer of 2000. Szymon and Magda are grown-ups. The woman can’t remember anything from her childhood, including the accident. At the party, she gets to know Szymon. Their meeting is not random for the guilt-ridden man has been trying to find out anything about her for twenty years. Accompanied by the admirer, the girl sets off on a journey into the past to finally discover herself.

Sophie’s Ordinary Life

Sophie has bad luck in life. She is a romantic, she doesn’t like her job and everyday, little inconveniences meet her. Real trouble starts when she meets her ex partner from whom she once ran away to another city. In the beginning, the girl believes in his transformation but their relationship turns into a string of fights and verbal abuse again. The First World War broke out in 1914. A Polish patriot, Józef Piłsudski decided to make the most of the situation and help Poland regain independence. With the riflemen under his command, he entered the territory of the Russian partition. That handful of riflemen gave rise to the Polish Legions. In 1918 Piłsudski became head of the reborn Polish state. After 123 years of oppression, Poland had regained independence.

The Russian Empire bleeds in the war with Japan which began in 1904. The patriotic movements in Poland rise up to use the moment to regain Poland’s independence. The film speaks of the fight of the young generation of polish patriots, including heroic women, who undertook dangerous risks while fighting for Polish freedom.

The Beast

The 19-year-old Krzysztof is a frequent gym-goer. He gets a job in a safeguarding company, which takes him to a Opera Music Festival. When the protagonist hears an aria for the first time in his life, his distance related to the world of classical music diminishes. Moved by the art so far unknown, he decides to take up singing lessons. Opera changes not only his preferences but also lifestyle.
