Kristoffer Rus was born and raised in a Polish-Swedish family. He graduated from the Stockholm University of the Arts and from Wajda School. His debut feature film, Into the Wind, had its premiere on Netflix in 2022. That same year his family film, Too Old for Fairy Tales, was released in cinemas. Its sequel, Too Old for Fairy Tales 2, had its premiere in 2024, in 2026 followed by the third part of the series, Too Old for Fairy Tales 3, which confirmed the popularity of the cycle and consolidated Rus’s position as an author of family films that touch upon important social topics. After his successes in the young adult and family film genres, Rus turned to darker stories. He is the creator and director of a true crime series Murderesses produced for Viaplay. Rus is the Head of Production at Paprika Studios Polska, where he is responsible for the production of TV shows, including Murderesses (Viaplay Poland), Furia: Resurrection (Amazon Prime Video Norway), End of Summer (Viaplay Sweden) and Agent Hamilton (TV4 Sweden).
