A music-driven story inspired by the life of legendary Polish rock musician Jan Borysewicz. The film follows the rebellious guitarist whose first encounter with rock music sparks an obsessive desire to create a band capable of measuring up to his idols. Thanks to his talent and uncompromising determination the protagonist rises from humble beginnings to the position of a leader of one of the most popular rock bands in the country, Lady Pank, whose songs are known to whole generations. The success arrives rapidly but at a high price. Family tragedies, personal downfalls, conflicts with the authorities and crossing more boundaries start to undermine both his private relationships and the band’s foundations. Pushed by the uncompromising need for freedom, the protagonist must face the price of rebellion and the thin line between creative greatness and self-destruction.
