Polish Film Institute Awards
The awards of the Polish Film Institute will be presented at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for the sixteenth time. The accolades recognise the work of people and institutions outside of film production by rewarding achievements in supporting the development of Polish cinema, promoting its heritage and facilitating public access to Polish films.
At the award ceremony we will announce the verdict of the Jury who has selected the winners from the applications submitted by institutions, individuals and entities associated with culture. There are nine categories: Film Event, Film Education, Cinema, Film Discussion Club, Film Criticism, Book on Film, Polish Film Distribution, Polish Film Promotion Abroad and Film Poster.
Apart from the General Director of the Polish Film Institute Karolina Rozwód, the Jury is comprised of: Director of the Department of Copyright and Film at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Maciej Dydo, art historian and Head of the Documentation Department of Zachęta – the National Gallery of Art Karolina Vyšata, Director of the National Centre for Culture Robert Piaskowski, co-manager of Kino Rialto cinema in Poznań Jolanta Myszka, Director and co-founder of FILMFORUM Association Maciej Dominiak and cultural expert and Culture Director at ELLE magazine Maja Chitro.
