We are committed to making the Polish Film Festival an open and accessible event for everyone.
We have trained our team, volunteers, and staff to provide support to people with varying abilities.
We are implementing solutions that make it easier for people with disabilities, individuals on the autism spectrum, those with high sensitivity, as well as anyone who may need extra support, to take part in the Festival.

TICKETS
People over the age of 60, individuals with disabilities, and their assistants are eligible for reduced-price tickets.
Reduced-price tickets can only be purchased at the Cinema box office upon presentation of a valid document confirming eligibility.

Individuals with a severe disability can receive a free ticket for an assistant – when the assistant ticket limit is reached, a reduced-price ticket applies.Ticket prices:
- full-price ticket – PLN 29
- full-price ticket for a screening in the Dream auditorium at Helios Cinema* – PLN 32
- reduced-price ticket – PLN 25
- ticket for a short film screening – PLN 20
- group ticket – 18 PLN
* we do not sell concessionary tickets for screenings in the Dream auditoriums at the Helios cinema
** reduced-price tickets are available to children under 12, young people aged 12 and over on presentation of a valid school ID card, students up to the age of 26 on presentation of a valid student ID card, people aged 60 and over on presentation of a valid ID document, and people with disabilities and their carers. -
ENTRY WITH GUIDE DOG OR ASSISTANCE DOG
You may attend the Festival with a guide dog or assistance dog. Please bring a certificate confirming the dog’s status as a service animal and documentation of required veterinary vaccinations.

Screenings with Audio Description
Selected films from the Main Competition and the Perspectives Competition are available with audio description on the Kino Dostępne 2.0 app.
Audio description consists of additional verbal commentary that enables the perception of visual artistic works and allows visually impaired individuals to experience cultural achievements in the fields of visual arts, theatre, and film.
How to use the Kino Dostępne 2.0 app
Before the screening, install the free Kino Dostępne 2.0 app on your smartphone. You can download the app from Google Play and the App Store, or from the kinodostepne.pl website.
Once you’ve launched the app, confirm your consent to use the microphone. Go to the ‘Festivals’ tab, select ‘51st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia’ and go to the page for your chosen film. Download the audio description or voice-over. Take your headphones and smartphone with you to the cinema. Once the film has started (not during the trailers), switch on the audio description in the app using the ‘Start audio description’ button.
The app does not require an internet connection during the film screening; it only needs one to download the audio description before the screening.

There are no tactile paths or spatial audio descriptions available in the festival venues.
If you have a severe visual impairment and need to be seated in a suitable row in the cinema, please let the cinema staff or volunteers know..

Induction loops
Induction loops will be available at the box office counters:
- at the Gdynia Film Centre – at the box office and information desk,
- at the Front Desk at the Musical Theatre,
- at the box office at the Helios cinema.
Box office counters with induction loops will be marked with a pictogram.
The induction loop will cover part of the audience area in the Large Hall at the Danuta Baduszkowa Musical Theatre. Seats with loop coverage will be marked with a pictogram.

Equipment Rental
At the Riviera Shopping Centre, you can rent noise-cancelling headphones for yourself or your child. The headphones are available at the InfoPoint on Level 0, near the exit from the green parking area by the escalators.
Please note: this equipment is for Riviera Shopping Centre use only and cannot be used elsewhere at the Festival.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours apply at the Riviera Shopping Centre:
- on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
This allows for a quieter experience at the Centre and the Festival during these days and hours.
Sensitive Content
The Festival website will soon feature details about films containing difficult or disturbing content.

- Some of the films shown during the Festival may be emotionally or cognitively demanding.
- All films have Polish-language dialogues.
- Full film descriptions are available on the Festival’s website. The descriptions are not provided in easy-to-read and understand format.
- The Festival website also provides information about films containing difficult or disturbing content.
