Masterclass: Wojciech Marczewski + Piotr Pławuszewski

During the meeting with Wojciech Marczewski, we will attempt to answer what it means to be a filmmaker who leaves an indelible mark on the viewer with his works. Talking about The Housemaster, Shivers, Escape from the ‘Liberty’ Cinema and Weiser, we will try to better understand how this year’s recipient of the Platinum Lions turns the cinema into a vehicle for memory and history, how he approaches (difficult) literature, and how he perceives his extraordinary legacy in hindsight. But perhaps the most valuable part of the meeting will be a reminder, worth repeating over and over again, that the works of Wojciech Marczewski always invite the viewer for a serious conversation. It seems that for the director, it is the only reason to turn on the camera.
