Ewa Dałkowska
Theatre and film actress. In 1970 she graduated in Polish Studies from the University of Wrocław and two years later – from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. During the martial law period she was an underground activist. She co-created Teatr Domowy which started running in 1982 in her flat. She collaborated with the most eminent Polish artists, including: Andrzej Wajda, Jan Englert, Zygmunt Hubner, Antoni Krauze, Andrzej Barański, Edward Żebrowski, Andrzej Trzos-Rastawiecki, Krzysztof Zaleski, Tomasz Man, Agnieszka Holland and Krzysztof Zanussi. Her talent and charisma attract also young filmmakers – in 2011 she played in Aleksandra Terpińska’s festival-awarded short film All Soul’s Day, and in 2015 in Małgorzata Szumowska’s Body. In 2007 she was decorated with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for special merit in being active towards democratic changes in Poland.
