Grzegorz Kędzierski

Director of photography in over fifty Polish and foreign feature films and dozens of TV series and plays. Director and screenwriter. Graduate of the Lodz Film School, Ph.D. holder in Film Studies, professor of the Academy of Art, Film and Design. Familiar to millions of viewers as the director of photography in the superproduction With Fire and Sword (1999), Popieluszko. Freedom Is Within Us (2009), Colonel Kwiatkowski (1995). As a cinematographer he collaborated with such directors as: Wojciech Jerzy Has, Stanisław Różewicz, Kazimierz Kutz, Ryszard Bugajski, Mamoru Oshii, Dieter Wedel, Jerzy Antczak, Mirosław Bork, Witold Leszczyński, Lech Majewski, Krzysztof Lang, Jacek Bromski, Maciej Wojtyszko. Winner of individual cinematography awards at festivals in Poland and abroad. Lecturer at Polish and foreign art schools. Initiator and co-founder of the Polish Society of Cinematographers (PSC), its vice-president in the years 1993–2008. Member of the Polish Filmmakers Association. Jury member at Polish and international film festivals, including Camerimage (1998), the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (2006), Molodist Kyiv IFF (2010). Member of the Polish Film Academy and expert with the Polish Film Institute.
