Małgorzata Zajączkowska

Chairwoman

Małgorzata Zajączkowska is a Polish theatre, film and TV actress. She graduated from the National Higher Theatre School in Warsaw. In the years 1979-1981 she acted in the National Theatre in Warsaw. She played in films by directors such as Agnieszka Holland, Andrzej Wajda, Ryszard Bugajski and Krzysztof Zanussi. In 1981 she left for Paris, then for the USA where she continued her career in theatre and film as Marget Sophie Stein. She is the only Polish actress to have played in a Woody Allen’s film (Bullets Over Broadway). After over eighteen years she returned to Poland. The part of Nora in Walpurgis Night (dir. Marcin Bortkiewicz) won her the Best Actress award at the 2015 Koszalin Debut Film Festival Young and Film. The film Late Bloomers (dir. Lisa Steen), where she played one of the main roles alongside Karen Gillan, had its world premiere in 2024.
