On his way to London, Ryszard Ochódzki, President of the Rainbow Sports Club, finds out that his passport is missing a few pages. Stopped short at the border, he’s certain there is only one person capable of such atrocity – his ex-wife, Irena. The woman tries to slow him down so she can get to the British capital first and clear out the joint account they opened years ago in a London bank. Ryszard will stop at nothing to obtain another passport and put a spoke in her wheel. The story abounds with absurdities of every-day life in the Polish People’s Republic.
