A FEW PEOPLE, A LITTLE TIME

Jadwiga Stańczakowa is blind. She lives with a possessive father whose overprotectiveness made her dependent. The friendship with Miron Białoszewski, a bit eccentric man, poet and exceptional prosaic entirely changes her life. His clumsiness in everyday matters challenges and emancipates Jadwiga who becomes his secretary, records the texts he dictates and transcribes them on a typewriter. The poet gives back by giving her advice and correcting the diary she writes. But they need each other not only for practical purposes. It’s also a deeper psychological craving that results from the overall complicatedness of their lives. This friendship also influences Miron’s writing.
