After a break-up with his fiancé, a young photographer moves in to a dilapidated tenement house on Warsaw Praga. The owner of the building commissions him to document the sorry state of the property. Taking photos of his neighbors and the area, Marcin discovers a completely new world that starts to fascinate him. Having a crush on a sensual hairdresser Hanka B., he lands on a blacklist of her roommate Rysiek – a quick-tempered criminal. He also receives extraordinary tokens of sympathy from a redhead hooligan. It’s the beginning of a series of events that will change Marcin’s life by bringing new friends and new enemies.
