The film about two different worlds. The first one is represented by a mature man who likes living high on the hog. He raised his children and lives comfortably with his third wife. The second world is represented by a student who is proud of the fact that he owns nothing and that the whole life is still ahead of him. Interestingly, it is the older man who has liberal views and the younger one who stands by the tradition. Their accidental meeting changes both of them. The film takes place in a picturesque landscape of the Masurian lakes.
