One of the best Romanian films of the last decade, a simple story of love and betrayal transfixing viewers by its realism. A drama verging on a thriller. Paul is a completely average man – an exemplary husband, a good father but also a man lost and confused in life, which turned out differently from what he had imagined as a young man. He’s cheating on his wife with Raluca in an infantile belief that he has found a woman thanks to whom he will regain his past youth. “Tuesday After Christmas” is a fantastically written and well-played film whose rhythm is set by Paul’s series of lies and half-truths. The atmosphere created by Muntean is so charged with emotions that when these three people meet accidentally at the dentist's, the viewers tremble in their seats.
