“Mika” is a perverse prequel to the romantic comedy, that is what happens before She meets Him. As long as any meeting takes place at all, as in this story nothing is obvious and nothing happens according to the genre pattern. To the contrary, each turn of the life of the main heroine, a 30-year-old reporter, has new, unexpected consequences. What role in all this is played by sheer coincidence, and what is a conscious choice?
