Mark is sent on service to a remote frontier post in the middle of a thick forest. Only those with a permit are allowed to pass through the barrier blocking the road. A married couple with a daughter arrive at the post. The man and the child do not have permits. However, the husband does not want his wife to travel alone. He tries to convince Mark to turn a blind eye and let them pass together.
