Yuma – Polish Film Festival

Three years after the fall of communism, Zyga, a young resident of a town situated by the German border, is fed up with seeing a colourful world only in youth magazines. With the help of his best pals from the block and influential Halinka, he becomes the king of 'yuma' - minor robberies just across the Oder River. These illegal practices spread quickly, and an ordinary small town takes a great leap forward in the standard of living. However, soon the boys want more than just clothes and electronics. They start working on a bigger scale. When they fall foul of Russian gangsters and when robbed Germans decide to stop them, the 'fun' turns into a dangerous game which may lead to a disaster.
