Valentina – Polish Film Festival

One actress and a female choir. One of the most famous women of the 20th century, Walentyna Tiereszkowa and a nameless mass, symbolizing Soviet female astronauts being prepared to fly into space - the title Valentina’s doubles. A play and at the same time a concert, a documentary and creation. After 1989 Tiereszkowa fell silent and since then she never spoke to journalists. An attempt at telling a tale which has never had a chance to be told. The play makes use of excerpts from Valentina Tereshkova’s diaries and transcripts of Soviet astronauts’ views taken from Maciej Drygas’s documentary “Stan nieważkości”.
