On Christmas Eve 1981, the family of the 15-year-old Marta is cut off from electricity. They have to spend Christmas with candles lit on. In the gloom, family secrets and conflicts unveil. After a fight with her relatives, the girl leaves the “martial law” of her home and confronts martial law on the streets of Łódź.
