A story about growing up. 14-year-old Ola takes care of the house, her father and disabled brother and maintains a good relationship with her mother who lives separately. Most importantly, though, she tries to piece her family back together. Living by the hope that one day she manages to persuade her mother to come back home, her 13-year-old brother Nikodem’s First Communion poses a good opportunity to do just that. Ola takes full responsibility for organising a perfect family event. Zamecka’s directing debut won numerous awards at international festivals, including the European Film Award for Best Documentary.
