Kazek and Bogdan, two boys from a small town near Lodz, carry out an armed robbery of a taxi driver. All they steal is fifty zlotys. During their next job, they kill a carpenter, steal his money and take a gold ring off of the hand of the dead man’s wife. But they reach the end of their tether. Friends in town start to realise how serious things have got. The fictionalised documentary is a reconstruction of an authentic crime committed in 1972 by two young men from Konstantynowo near Lodz. Director paid special attention to the perpetrators – their psychological portraits and motives.
