Salt of the Black Earth

Poetic folk ballad and a portrait of the Silesian people. August 1920, the Second Silesian Uprising. Seven sons of an old miner fight for the Polishness of their fatherland. Supported by other insurgents, they take over a small town. The youngest brother, Gabriel, puts on a German uniform and moves to a German-controlled village. There, he meets a young German nurse and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, the fights continue, and German offensive intensifies…
