The Legions

A blockbuster about the generation of the 1914–1916 Polish Legions which won Poland its independence. It is an epic historical spectacle made with state-of-the-art film techniques. It shows young people who do not hesitate to throw themselves right in the middle of the fight for regaining independence, but also those who have just understood that they will be able to live their dreams only in a free Poland. A universal story about entering adulthood in difficult times and about maturing to form a community. The great history serves only as a backdrop for a love story happening in the foreground. A love story which involves a deserter from the imperial army, Józek, a I Brigade intelligence agent and a member of the League of Women of the War Emergency Service, Ola, and her fiancé, an uhlan and member of the Polish Rifle Squads, Tadek.
