The Collector

Young debt collector Lucjan Bohme operates in Wałbrzych and surrounding areas. Local industry has collapsed, unemployment rate skyrockets, and many people barely live hand to mouth. In such a place, his profession causes significant distress and hostility. Especially as Bohme carries his duties out with unparalleled integrity and efficiency, collecting debts with no mercy. One day, he meets his ex-lover Gosia, once a school beauty, now an exhausted, hardworking nurse, mother of a seriously ill girl and wife to an alcoholic. Soon after that, fate brings Lucjan to her door for the next bailiff enforcement.
