Amateurs – Polish Film Festival

The story begins when Krzysiek’s theatre group of intellectually disabled actors, Personal Belongings Office, wins a festival and a chance to stage a play produced by a professional theatre. Great joy, a great opportunity and great expectations. Krzysiek and his actors have been recently working on a new project, Zorba the Greek. Performing it on a real stage would be incredible. But the offer made by the theatre director comes with a caveat. Once Wiki, the household star, appears on the stage, Krzysiek’s actors are immediately swept away by her charisma. Will the ticking clock and admiration for Wiki help or hinder their thespian efforts? The opening night is coming. Will the cast make Krzysiek proud? The film is a directing debut.
