Somewhere in between childhood and adulthood, life flows for fifteen-year-old Klara within her small group of friends. The future seems bright and promising. However, it only takes one moment for everything to collapse. What really happened on Easter Monday a year ago? Who was the masked man who hurt Klara? How can one find meaning and joy in life after something like that? In her search for support and understanding, Klara turns to a new friend who is very different from the other teenagers in town. The girls will have to confront a deeply hidden trauma as they search for hope and a fresh start. Wet Monday is a magical story about the healing power of empathy, set in the colourful world of Polish Easter celebrations.
The film is the director’s feature-length debut.
