After a year at a convent school, twelve-year-old Marga returns to her village in northern Argentina, only to find her family distant and her home unsettled. Her brother has taken over her room, and Christmas – far from being a time of warmth and reunion – only deepens her sense of isolation. As she struggles to reconnect with her family, Marga faces unexpected situations that challenge her childish perception of home and family.
The film is the director’s debut.
