Tadeusz Konwicki is a well-known figure and, at the same time, a mysterious one, a man of many faces. An artist and a soldier, witty and intelligent, he wrote novels and shot much-debated films. After 1989, the role of the writer in society changed. The film seeks an answer to the following question: what function does the modern intellectual play during a period of political transition on the path towards a united Europe?
