"The Complete Kachu. The Art of Kazimierz Ostrowski" is a monographic exhibition devoted to one of the most important artists associated with Gdynia: the painter, pioneer of the post-war avant-garde and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk .
The exposition showcases a wide spectrum of his work: from the early pieces and those created during the Parisian fellowship at the Fernand Léger’s studio, through geometric abstract forms, up to the monumental paintings and artistic textiles.An important part of the exhibition are private
archives, projects and materials documenting Ostrowski’s activities
in urban space. More classic narration was supplemented with modern installations by Malwina Konopacka and Patryk Hardziej, inspired by his work. Designed for visitors of all ages, the exhibition merges the presentation of art with a space dedicated to experiencing, playing and learning. Curated by the art historian Agnieszka Drączkowska-Gradzik.
