Meet Nesia – A Grey Seal From the Baltic Sea – Polish Film Festival

The film was created as part of a Master’s degree project at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. It was produced with the support of the Prof. Krzysztof Skóra Marine Station in Hel as a potential educational tool for young audiences, particularly those visiting the Seal Sanctuary in Hel. This fictionalised story about seals living in the Baltic Sea is told from the perspective of Nesia, a grey seal. The film briefly explores the history of the Baltic seal population, the threats it faces and the prospects for the species.
