Conflagration Site

Houses successively built by particular owners of an attractive plot are burnt. Will the prudent family of Rojeccy break the curse of the Conflagration site? What role in the whole drama will be played by the inconspicuous son Józio?
An adaptation of Stefan Grabiński’s novel from the volume “Księga ognia”. Today, the film pleases mainly with successful creations of Wiesław Michnikowski, Alina Janowska and Mieczysław Czechowicz. Another film of Ryszard Ber from the “Opowieści niezwykłe” cycle, and the translation of Grabiński’s prose to the language of film was made by the author of the screenplay – Krzysztof Teodor Toeplitz.
