Influenza

A action-packed story about a group of clairvoyants, acting in Poznań at the end of World War I to help in the recovery of the Polish state. During a seance in a hotel room the telepaths are saving Ignacy Paderewski who is on a ship bound for Poland. They want to protect him against the attack of a dangerous medium working for the Prussian army. For Paderewski is not only a world-renowned virtuoso pianist but also a statesman, the symbol of Polishness and the future Prime Minister of Poland.

A melodrama unfolds at the whirling table as love is budding between the protagonists, love which will require the highest sacrifice there is.

An alternative version of history, parallel worlds and fun with the convention of a conspiracy-based thriller and black comedy ridiculing the bohemian world and the bourgeoisie. The film is a mixture of historic events and fiction, recounting the successful uprising.
