Squint Your Eyes
Andrzej Jakimowski
2003, 1 h 30 minJasiek, a former teacher and unfulfilled writer, works as a caretaker in a state-owned farm of the Communist Poland (PGR). A ten year old girl, Jasiek’s former pupil who hides from her parents, finds shelter in the place that he guards. The abandoned PGR is also visited by other people: parents looking for their daughter, a local freak, an office worker, a young offender’s home boy. They all come to get to know something about themselves, to learn a lesson of life.
