Sahanda’s father is offered a job at the oilfield and his whole family has to move to the hot and dry southern Iran. Unexpectedly, the war breaks out. The house of the family is destroyed in a bomb attack and the boy’s mother is killed in an air raid. The father decides to take his son and his 12-year-old daughter back north, hoping that the beauty and serenity of that region will help the children overcome trauma.
